Washington High School Basketball - West Valley holds off Sunnyside
December 30, 2024: Spokane, WA 99212 In Monday's non-league contest, the host West Valley Eagles basketball team scored a close 45-43 triumph over the Sunnyside Grizzlies.
The Eagles (7-1) will now prepare for their contest against Deer Park (Deer Park, WA). The Stags go into the 2A/3A/4A Greater Spokane contest with a 2-4 record. In their last contest, Deer Park was tipped by Northwest Christian School (Colbert, WA), 67-26, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Grizzlies confront the West Valley Rams (Yakima, WA) in a 4A Columbia Basin Big-9 contest, on Friday, January 10. Sunnyside will attempt to better on its 3-6 season record. The Rams go into the contest with a 5-5 record after their 57-39 non-league win over Shorewood (Shoreline, WA).
