North Carolina High School Basketball - Virginia Academy can't hold off Cresset Christian Academy
December 30, 2024: Durham, NC 27707 Cresset Christian Academy Eagles (Durham, NC) supporters left the game happy Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad hold off the visiting Virginia Academy Patriots (Ashburn, VA), 59-57 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Cresset Christian Academy advances its record to 16-2 on the year. The Eagles travel to Bearden (Knoxville, TN) to face the Bulldogs in a non-league match on Saturday, January 4. The Bulldogs enter the match with a record of 15-3. Bearden lost 74-65 in their recent non-league match against Farmington (Farmington, AR)
The Patriots now own a 6-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Rosedale Christian Academy for a non-league match on Tuesday, December 31. Virginia Academy will face a Rosedale Panthers squad coming off a 52-12 non-league win over Dulaney (Timonium, MD). The Rosedale Panthers record now stands at 12-2.
