In Monday's non-league test, the Elmira Express (Elmira, NY) basketball squad got by the visiting Starpoint Spartans (Lockport, NY), by a score of 47-44.

Next, the Express clash with the Ithaca Little Red (Ithaca, NY) in a Section 4 Southern Tier - West test, on Tuesday, January 7. Elmira will attempt to improve on its 6-1 season record.
