The Grant Lancers (Van Nuys, CA) basketball were winner over the host Hoover Tornados (Glendale, CA), 42-29 in Monday's non-league bout.

The Lancers now possess a 3-2 record. They play next when they travel to Santa Paula for a non-league bout on Monday, December 30. Grant will play a Cardinals team coming off a 43-27 non-league win over Cleveland (Reseda, CA). The Cardinals record now stands at 7-8.

With the loss, Hoover falls to 7-5 on the campaign. The Tornados travel to Viewpoint (Calabasas, CA) to play the Patriots in a non-league bout on Tuesday, December 31. The Patriots go into the bout with a record of 5-6. Viewpoint won 45-28 in their recent non-league bout against St. Genevieve (Panorama City, CA)
