December 30, 2024: Edmonton, KY 42129 The Metcalfe County Hornets basketball squad (Edmonton, KY), was crushed 72-40 in Monday's non-league battle with the visiting Northview Academy Cougars (Kodak, TN)
With the victory, Northview Academy advances its record to 15-1 on the year. The Cougars travel to Grainger (Rutledge, TN) to meet the Grizzlies in a non-league battle on Tuesday, January 7. The Grizzlies enter the battle with a record of 8-8.
The Hornets now own a 8-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Clinton County for a District 16 battle on Friday, January 3. Metcalfe County will meet a Bulldogs squad coming off a 58-36 non-league loss to Gibbs (Corryton, TN). The Bulldogs record now stands at 4-6.
