North Carolina High School Basketball - Union Pines fells Northwood

The Union Pines Vikings basketball team scored 54 points and limited the host Northwood Chargers to 46 in the Vikings non-league triumph on Monday.

The Vikings now have a 12-0 record. They play next when they travel to Richmond for a 3A/4A Sandhills game on Tuesday, January 7. Union Pines will confront a Raiders team coming off a 37-32 non-league loss to Marvin Ridge (Waxhaw, NC). The Raiders record now stands at 9-4.

With the loss, Northwood falls to 7-3 on the campaign. The Chargers host Graham (Graham, NC) to confront the Red Devils in a 1A/2A Mid-Carolina game on Friday, January 3. The Red Devils go into the game with a record of 3-7. Graham lost 48-17 in their recent league game against Chatham Central (Bear Creek, NC)
