The Coronado Islanders basketball squad (Coronado, CA), was nudged 63-62 in Tuesday's non-league battle with the visiting Army-Navy Warriors (Carlsbad, CA)

With the victory, Army-Navy advances its record to 10-5 on the year. The Warriors host Oceanside (Oceanside, CA) to meet the Pirates in a non-league battle on Saturday, January 3. The Pirates enter the battle with a record of 4-12. Oceanside lost 72-64 in their recent non-league challenge against Catalina Foothills (Tucson, AZ)

In their next game, the Islanders battle the La Jolla Country Day Torreys (La Jolla, CA) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, January 6. Coronado will attempt to improve on its 9-6 season record.
