Trinity Tigers (Trinity, TX) backers went home thrilled Tuesday as they saw their basketball team thwart the visiting Gary Bobcats (Gary, TX), 56-40 in a non-league contest.

The Tigers (9-8) will now prepare for their contest against Center (Center, TX). The Roughriders go into the non-league contest with a 0-9 record.

In their next game, the Bobcats battle the Garrison Bulldogs (Garrison, TX) in a 2A Region III District 23 contest, on Friday, January 2. Gary will attempt to better on its 14-5 season record. The Bulldogs go into the contest with a 2-5 record after their 51-49 non-league win over Cushing (Cushing, TX).
