Georgia High School Basketball - Glenn Hills tipped by Alcovy

The Alcovy Tigers basketball team scored 65 points and held the host Glenn Hills Spartans to 58 in the Tigers non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Tigers now sport a 6-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Monroe Area for a non-league contest on Tuesday, January 3. Alcovy will meet a Purple Hurricanes team coming off a 69-43 non-league win over Jasper County (Monticello, GA). The Purple Hurricanes record now stands at 8-1.

The Spartans (0-9) will now prepare for their contest against Thomson (Thomson, GA). The Bulldogs enter the AA Region 4A contest with a 7-1 record. In their last bout, Thomson nipped Collins Hill (Suwanee, GA), 72-66, in a non-league bout.
