The Calvert Trojans basketball team scored 54 points and held the visiting Iola Bulldogs to 37 in the Trojans non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Trojans now sport a 5-12 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Fayetteville for a 1A Region IV District 29 contest on Tuesday, January 3. Calvert will battle a Lions team coming off a 52-19 non-league loss to Giddings (Giddings, TX). The Lions record now stands at 12-7.

The Bulldogs (3-13) will now prepare for their contest against Mumford (Mumford, TX). The Mustangs enter the 2A Region IV District 26 contest with a 13-10 record.
