California High School Basketball - Orangewood Academy edges King/Drew
December 31, 2022: Los Angeles, CA 90059 The Orangewood Academy Spartans (Garden Grove, CA) basketball nipped the host King/Drew Golden Eagles (Los Angeles, CA), 57-50 in Saturday's non-league test.
The Spartans (15-3) will now prepare for their test against Pacifica Christian/Orange County (Newport Beach, CA). The Tritons go into the San Joaquin test with a 11-7 record. In their last test, Pacifica Christian/Orange County was tipped by St. Pius X-St. Matthias Academy (Downey, CA), 65-56, in a non-league test.
The Golden Eagles now own a 7-8 record. They play next when they host Woodrow Wilson for a non-league test on Friday, January 6. King/Drew will encounter a Bruins squad coming off a 65-60 non-league win over Laguna Beach (Laguna Beach, CA). The Bruins record now stands at 12-6.
