Texas High School Basketball - Whitharral nips Quanah
December 31, 2022: Whitharral, TX 79380 Whitharral Panthers (Whitharral, TX) backers were pleased Saturday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Quanah Indians (Quanah, TX), 49-46 in a non-league bout.
With the victory, Whitharral upgrades its record to 2-4 on the campaign. The Panthers travel to Cotton Center (Cotton Center, TX) to play the Elks in a 1A Region I District 7 bout on Tuesday, January 3. The Elks come into the bout with a record of 8-10. Cotton Center won 49-26 in their recent non-league bout against Wilson (Wilson, TX)
Next up, the Indians play the Childress Bobcats (Childress, TX) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 3. Quanah will attempt to upgrade on its 13-9 season record. The Bobcats come into the bout with a 10-6 record after their 54-41 non-league win over Levelland (Levelland, TX).
