December 31, 2022: Wildorado, TX The Wildorado Mustangs basketball team (Wildorado, TX), was overwhelmed 46-19 in Saturday's non-league battle with the visiting Christoval Cougars (Christoval, TX)
The Cougars now possess a 11-9 record. They put it on the line next when they host Ozona for a 2A Region I District 7 battle on Tuesday, January 3. Christoval will confront a Lions team coming off a 77-47 non-league loss to New Home (New Home, TX). The Lions record now stands at 14-5.
The Mustangs (6-7) will now prepare for their battle against Wheeler (Wheeler, TX). The Mustangs come into the 2A Region I District 2 battle with a 6-6 record. In their last battle, Wheeler trounced River Road (Amarillo, TX), 47-44, in a non-league battle.
