Texas High School Basketball - Overton routs McLeod

In Tuesday's non-league contest, the visiting Overton Mustangs basketball team scored a big 50-24 triumph over the McLeod Longhorns.

The Mustangs (12-3) will now prepare for their contest against Alto (Alto, TX). The Yellowjackets go into the 2A Region III District 22 contest with a 13-6 record. In their last contest, Alto smashed Harleton (Harleton, TX), 73-55, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Longhorns confront the Linden-Kildare Tigers (Linden, TX) in a 2A Region III District 21 contest, on Friday, January 3. McLeod will attempt to better on its 9-17 season record. The Tigers go into the contest with a 1-13 record after their 65-25 league loss to Ore City (Ore City, TX).
