Texas High School Basketball - Jefferson knocks off Harleton
December 31, 2024: Harleton, TX 75651 The crowd at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Jefferson Bulldogs (Jefferson, TX) and the host Harleton Wildcats (Harleton, TX), observed Jefferson's basketball team overcome Harleton by a margin of 35-25.
The Bulldogs (13-10) will now prepare for their challenge against New Diana (Diana, TX). The Eagles come into the 3A Region II District 13 challenge with a 11-12 record. In their last challenge, New Diana dropped by North Hopkins (Sulphur Springs, TX), 47-30, in a non-league challenge.
In their next game, the Wildcats battle the Hawkins Hawks (Hawkins, TX) in a 2A Region III District 21 challenge, on Friday, January 3. Harleton will attempt to better on its 11-5 season record. The Hawks come into the challenge with a 15-1 record after their 73-30 non-league win over Cumberland Academy (Tyler, TX).
