Texas High School Basketball - McLeod routs Overton
December 31, 2024: McLeod, TX 75565 In Tuesday's non-league contest, the host McLeod Longhorns basketball team scored a big 41-5 triumph over the Overton Mustangs.
The Longhorns (11-13) will now prepare for their contest against Linden-Kildare (Linden, TX). The Tigers go into the 2A Region III District 21 contest with a 6-5 record. In their last contest, Linden-Kildare was trounced by Hughes Springs (Hughes Springs, TX), 33-25, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Mustangs confront the Alto Yellowjackets (Alto, TX) in a 2A Region III District 22 contest, on Friday, January 3. Overton will attempt to better on its 2-8 season record.
