California High School Basketball - Vallejo nips Pittsburg
December 31, 2024: Vallejo, CA 94590 In Tuesday's non-league contest, the host Vallejo Redhawks basketball team scored a close 49-43 win over the Pittsburg Pirates.
The Redhawks (2-7) will now prepare for their battle against Miramonte (Orinda, CA). The Matadors enter the non-league battle with a 1-9 record. In their last battle, Miramonte was nudged by Northgate (Walnut Creek, CA), 69-56, in a non-league battle.
The Pirates now own a 0-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Monte Vista for a non-league battle on Friday, January 3. Pittsburg will meet a Mustangs squad coming off a 60-47 non-league win over East Union (Manteca, CA). The Mustangs record now stands at 9-5.
