In Saturday's non-league outing, the Alief Hastings Bears (Houston, TX) basketball squad felled the visiting Bay City Blackcats (Bay City, TX), by a margin of 59-39.

The Bears (6-8) will now prepare for their outing against Cypress Lakes (Katy, TX). The Spartans go into the non-league outing with a 0-6 record. In their last outing, Cypress Lakes was beaten by Katy (Katy, TX), 68-65, in a non-league outing.
