Redwood Valley Cardinals (Redwood Falls, MN) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Minnewaska Area Lakers (Glenwood, MN), 68-50 in a league bout.

With the win, Redwood Valley upgrades its record to 1-0 on the season. The Cardinals travel to Morris Area/Chokio-Alberta (Morris, MN) to play the Tigers in a non-league bout on Thursday, January 27. The Tigers go into the bout with a record of 3-0.

Next up, the Lakers play the Morris Area/Chokio-Alberta Tigers (Morris, MN) in a AA Section 3 bout, on Friday, January 21. Minnewaska Area will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record.
