In Saturday's non-league outing, the Jarrell Cougars (Jarrell, TX) basketball squad beat the visiting Elgin Wildcats (Elgin, TX), by a margin of 32-24.

The Cougars (9-2) will now prepare for their outing against Little River Academy (Little River Academy, TX). The Bumblebees go into the non-league outing with a 11-3 record. In their last outing, Little River Academy was topped by Decatur (Decatur, TX), 42-24, in a non-league outing.
