December 4, 2022: Johnstown, NY 12095 Fans at Sunday's non-league challenge between the Johnstown Sir Bills (Johnstown, NY) and the visiting Galway Golden Eagles (Galway, NY), saw Johnstown's basketball squad knock off Galway by a count of 55-40.
With the victory, Johnstown upgrades its record to 1-0 on the campaign. The Sir Bills travel to Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk (Ravena, NY) to play the Indians in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, December 7. The Indians come into the challenge with a record of 0-2. Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk lost 43-40 in their recent non-league challenge against Mohonasen (Schenectady, NY)
Next up, the Golden Eagles play the Oppenheim-Ephratah/St. Johnsville Wolves (St. Johnsville, NY) in a Section 2 Western - Mohawk challenge, on Wednesday, December 7. Galway will attempt to upgrade on its 2-3 season record. The Wolves come into the challenge with a 0-1 record after their 39-35 non-league loss to Richfield Springs Central (Richfield Springs, NY).
