Iowa High School Basketball - Ames can't hold off Dallas Center-Grimes
December 4, 2023: Dallas Center, IA 50063 The Dallas Center-Grimes Mustangs basketball team scored 60 points and restricted the visiting Ames Little Cyclones to 53 in the Mustangs non-league victory on Monday.
The Mustangs now sport a 3-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Newton for a Little Hawkeye contest on Friday, December 8. Dallas Center-Grimes will battle a Cardinals team coming off a 47-39 league win over Indianola (Indianola, IA). The Cardinals record now stands at 2-1.
The Little Cyclones (1-1) will now prepare for their contest against Des Moines East (Des Moines, IA). The Scarlets come into the non-league contest with a 0-3 record. In their last contest, Des Moines East was nudged by Lincoln (Des Moines, IA), 69-59, in a league contest.
