Illinois High School Basketball - Civic Memorial crushes East St. Louis
December 4, 2023: Bethalto, IL 62010 Civic Memorial Eagles (Bethalto, IL) backers were pleased Monday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting East St. Louis Flyers (East St. Louis, IL), 74-24 in a non-league bout.
With the victory, Civic Memorial upgrades its record to 8-0 on the campaign. The Eagles travel to Triad (Troy, IL) to play the Knights in a Mississippi Valley bout on Friday, December 8. The Knights come into the bout with a record of 5-2. Triad won 55-26 in their recent non-league bout against Freeburg (Freeburg, IL)
Next up, the Flyers play the Alton Redbirds (Alton, IL) in a Southwestern bout, on Tuesday, December 5. East St. Louis will attempt to upgrade on its 4-6 season record. The Redbirds come into the bout with a 5-0 record after their 57-35 league win over Edwardsville (Edwardsville, IL).
