Virginia High School Basketball - Brentsville District can't hold off James Monroe
December 4, 2023: Nokesville, VA 20181 The James Monroe Yellow Jackets basketball team scored 41 points and held the host Brentsville District Tigers to 36 in the Yellow Jackets non-league triumph on Monday.
The Yellow Jackets now sport a 1-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host Manassas Park for a non-league contest on Wednesday, December 6. James Monroe will battle a Cougars team coming off a 69-20 non-league loss to Gar-Field (Woodbridge, VA). The Cougars record now stands at 0-2.
The Tigers (0-1) will now prepare for their contest against Park View (Sterling, VA). The Patriots enter the non-league contest with a 0-1 record. In their last contest, Park View was nudged by James Wood (Winchester, VA), 61-15, in a non-league contest.
