Illinois High School Basketball - Lincoln-Way West holds off Kankakee
December 4, 2024: Kankakee, IL 60901 In Wednesday's non-league contest, the visiting Lincoln-Way West Warriors basketball team scored a close 36-33 triumph over the Kankakee Kays.
The Warriors (5-1) will now prepare for their contest against Bloom (Chicago Heights, IL). The Blazing Trojan go into the non-league contest with a 4-2 record. In their last contest, Bloom nipped Thornwood (South Holland, IL), 51-19, in a league contest.
In their next game, the Kays confront the Thornton Wildcats (Harvey, IL) in a Southland contest, on Friday, December 6. Kankakee will attempt to improve on its 5-1 season record. The Wildcats come into the challenge with a 3-2 record after their 47-26 league loss to Rich Township (Olympia Fields, IL).
