Maryland High School Basketball - Georgetown Prep toppled by DeMatha
December 4, 2024: North Bethesda, MD 20852 DeMatha Stags (Hyattsville, MD) supporters left the game satisfied Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad notch a victory over the host Georgetown Prep Little Hoyas (North Bethesda, MD), 65-56 in a non-league match.
With the victory, DeMatha advances its record to 1-0 on the year. The Stags travel to Takoma Academy (Takoma Park, MD) to face the Tigers in a non-league match on Saturday, December 7. The Tigers enter the match with a record of 1-1.
The Little Hoyas now own a 0-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Sidwell Friends for a non-league match on Tuesday, December 10. Georgetown Prep will face a Quakers squad coming off a 52-51 non-league loss to Archbishop Carroll (Washington, DC). The Quakers record now stands at 0-1.
