Texas High School Basketball - Alvin triumphant over Roma
December 4, 2025: Roma, TX 78584 The crowd at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Alvin Yellowjackets (Alvin, TX) and the host Roma Gladiators (Roma, TX), observed Alvin's basketball team overwhelm Roma by a score of 72-40.
The Yellowjackets (5-6) will now prepare for their challenge against LEE (San Antonio, TX). The Volunteers come into the non-league challenge with a 3-4 record. In their last challenge, LEE was routed by New Braunfels (New Braunfels, TX), 69-54, in a non-league challenge.
Next up, the Gladiators meet the Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Memorial Wolverines (Alamo, TX) in a non-league battle, on Tuesday, December 9. Roma will attempt to advance on its 4-4 season record. The Wolverines enter the battle with a 2-8 record after their 54-45 non-league loss to Harvest Christian (Edinburg, TX).
