In Thursday's non-league contest, the host Rancho Mirage Rattlers basketball team scored a close 78-71 triumph over the Buena Bulldogs.

The Rattlers (3-1) will now prepare for their contest against Holtville (Holtville, CA). The Vikings go into the non-league contest with a 2-3 record. In their last contest, Holtville was tipped by Vincent Memorial (Calexico, CA), 52-42, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Bulldogs face the Citrus Valley Blackhawks (Redlands, CA) in a non-league outing, on Friday, December 5. Buena will attempt to upgrade on its 1-4 season record. The Blackhawks enter the outing with a 5-3 record after their 52-43 non-league win over Bloomington (Bloomington, CA).
