In Thursday's non-league bout, the Leland Chargers (San Jose, CA) basketball team were winner over the visiting Fremont Firebirds (Sunnyvale, CA), by a tally of 49-41.

The Chargers now possess a 3-1 record. They play next when they travel to Evergreen Valley for a non-league bout on Tuesday, December 9. Leland will play a Cougars team coming off a 71-47 non-league win over Lincoln (San Jose, CA). The Cougars record now stands at 3-0.

With the loss, Fremont falls to 1-2 on the campaign. The Firebirds host Homestead (Cupertino, CA) to play the Mustangs in a non-league bout on Tuesday, December 9.
