In Thursday's non-league game, the host Hugo Buffaloes basketball team scored a good 58-50 triumph over the Wright City Lumberjax.

The Buffaloes now have a 1-0 record. They play next when they travel to Broken Bow for a Southeast Six game on Friday, December 5. Hugo will confront a Savages team coming off a 49-42 non-league loss to De Queen (De Queen, AR). The Savages record now stands at 0-1.
