Palm Valley FIREBIRDS (Rancho Mirage, CA) boosters left the game thrilled Thursday as they saw their basketball team topple the visiting Joshua Springs Christian Lightning (Yucca Valley, CA), 53-39 in a league game.

The FIREBIRDS now have a 2-1 record. They play next when they travel to Desert Chapel for a Victory game on Tuesday, December 9. Palm Valley will confront a Eagles team coming off a 53-12 league win over Noli Indian (San Jacinto, CA). The Eagles record now stands at 3-0.
