Texas High School Basketball - Vela holds off Pleasanton
December 4, 2025: Pleasanton, TX 78064 The Vela Sabercats basketball team scored 55 points and limited the host Pleasanton Eagles to 49 in the Sabercats non-league triumph on Thursday.
The Sabercats now possess a 8-4 record. They play next when they travel to Cigarroa for a non-league game on Thursday, December 4. Vela will confront a Toros team coming off a 65-53 non-league win over Zapata (Zapata, TX). The Toros record now stands at 4-5.
With the loss, Pleasanton falls to 5-6 on the campaign. The Eagles travel to Alexander (Laredo, TX) to clash with the Bulldogs in a non-league outing on Thursday, December 4. The Bulldogs come into the outing with a record of 6-1. Alexander won 71-29 in their recent non-league outing against Southside (San Antonio, TX)
