The crowd at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Torrance Tartars (Torrance, CA) and the host Quartz Hill Royals (Quartz Hill, CA), observed Torrance's basketball team overcome Quartz Hill by a margin of 70-61.

The Tartars (8-2) will now prepare for their match against Los Amigos (Fountain Valley, CA). The Lobos enter the non-league match with a 5-3 record. In their last match, Los Amigos thwarted El Toro (Lake Forest, CA), 53-40, in a non-league match.
