Costa Mesa Mustangs (Costa Mesa, CA) boosters went home thrilled Thursday as they saw their basketball team smash the visiting Capistrano Valley Cougars (Mission Viejo, CA), 64-28 in a non-league contest.

The Mustangs (3-3) will now prepare for their contest against Laguna Beach (Laguna Beach, CA). The Breakers go into the non-league contest with a 4-2 record. In their last contest, Laguna Beach smashed Hawthorne Math & Science Academy (Hawthorne, CA), 50-19, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Cougars confront the Aliso Niguel Wolverines (Aliso Viejo, CA) in a non-league outing, on Wednesday, December 10. Capistrano Valley will attempt to upgrade on its 2-4 season record.
