In Thursday's non-league contest, the visiting Montgomery Aztecs basketball team scored a close 46-44 triumph over the Helix Highlanders.

The Aztecs (5-2) will now prepare for their contest against Morse (San Diego, CA). The Tigers enter the non-league match with a 6-3 record.

The Highlanders now sport a 3-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Patrick Henry for a non-league match on Thursday, December 11.
