Texas High School Basketball - Hughes Springs routs Maud
December 4, 2025: Maud, TX 75567 In Thursday's non-league contest, the visiting Hughes Springs Mustangs basketball team scored a big 49-15 triumph over the Maud Cardinals.
The Mustangs (11-5) will now prepare for their contest against Elysian Fields (Elysian Fields, TX). The Yellowjackets go into the non-league contest with a 6-1 record. In their last contest, Elysian Fields smashed Ore City (Ore City, TX), 28-20, in a non-league match.
The Cardinals now own a 6-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Linden-Kildare for a non-league match on Tuesday, December 9. Maud will face a Tigers squad coming off a 60-44 non-league loss to Sulphur Bluff (Sulphur Bluff, TX). The Tigers record now stands at 4-6.
