Illinois High School Basketball - Putnam County routed by Marquette
December 4, 2025: Granville, IL 61326 Marquette Crusaders (Ottawa, IL) boosters left the game satisfied Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad triumph over the host Putnam County Panthers (Granville, IL), 55-19 in a non-league game.
The Crusaders now have a 1-4 record. They play next when they travel to Riverdale for a non-league game on Saturday, December 6. Marquette will confront a Rams team coming off a 49-25 league win over Rockridge (Taylor Ridge, IL). The Rams record now stands at 5-0.
With the loss, Putnam County falls to 0-7 on the year. The Panthers host Bureau Valley (Manlius, IL) to face the Storm in a non-league outing on Saturday, December 6. The Storm enter the outing with a record of 2-1. Bureau Valley lost 71-45 in their recent non-league outing against Riverdale (Port Byron, IL)
