California High School Basketball - Hoover bested by Merced
December 4, 2025: Fresno, CA 93710 Merced Bears (Merced, CA) supporters left the game happy Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad run past the host Hoover Patriots (Fresno, CA), 47-31 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Merced advances its record to 4-0 on the year. The Bears travel to Bullard (Fresno, CA) to face the Knights in a non-league match on Friday, December 5. The Knights go into the contest with a record of 1-0. Bullard won 30-21 in their recent non-league contest against Edison (Fresno, CA)
In their next game, the Patriots battle the Minarets Mustangs (O'Neals, CA) in a non-league contest, on Thursday, December 11. Hoover will attempt to better on its 0-2 season record.
