Iowa High School Basketball - Spirit Lake can't hold off Humboldt
December 5, 2022: Humboldt, IA 50548 The Humboldt Wildcats basketball team scored 83 points and restricted the visiting Spirit Lake Indians to 77 in the Wildcats non-league victory on Monday.
The Wildcats now sport a 1-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host St. Edmond for a North Central contest on Friday, December 9. Humboldt will battle a Gaels team coming off a 79-61 non-league win over Southeast Valley (Gowrie, IA). The Gaels record now stands at 1-2.
The Indians (1-2) will now prepare for their contest against Storm Lake (Storm Lake, IA). The Tornadoes come into the Lakes contest with a 2-2 record. In their last contest, Storm Lake was nudged by Emmetsburg (Emmetsburg, IA), 75-74, in a non-league contest.
