Illinois High School Basketball - Marquette overwhelms LaSalle-Peru
December 5, 2022: LaSalle, IL 61301 Fans at Monday's non-league challenge between the Marquette Crusaders (Ottawa, IL) and the host LaSalle-Peru Cavaliers (LaSalle, IL), saw Marquette's basketball squad wallop LaSalle-Peru by a tally of 67-46.
With the victory, Marquette improves its record to 4-0 on the campaign. The Crusaders host Indian Creek (Shabbona, IL) to play the Timberwolves in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, December 13. The Timberwolves go into the test with a record of 2-6.
The Cavaliers now own a 3-3 record. They play next when they travel to Mendota for a non-league test on Tuesday, December 6. LaSalle-Peru will encounter a Trojans squad coming off a 58-36 non-league loss to Marquette (Ottawa, IL). The Trojans record now stands at 2-4.
