Texas High School Basketball - Aledo holds off Springtown
December 5, 2023: Aledo, TX 76008 Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Aledo Bearcats (Aledo, TX) and the visiting Springtown Porcupines (Springtown, TX), witnessed Aledo's basketball squad nip Springtown by a margin of 63-61.
The Bearcats (6-4) will now prepare for their test against Timber Creek (Fort Worth, TX). The Falcons go into the non-league test with a 4-6 record. In their last test, Timber Creek got by Azle (Azle, TX), 59-58, in a non-league test.
The Porcupines now own a 5-4 record. They play next when they travel to Wimberley for a non-league test on Thursday, December 7. Springtown will encounter a Texans squad coming off a 86-82 non-league loss to Taylor (Taylor, TX). The Texans record now stands at 6-3.
