December 5, 2023: Houston, TX 77023 Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the KIPP Sunnyside (Houston, TX) and the host Austin Mustangs (Houston, TX), saw KIPP Sunnyside's basketball squad wallop Austin by a tally of 84-55.
With the victory, KIPP Sunnyside improves its record to 3-0 on the campaign. The travel to KIPP Houston (Houston, TX) to confront the Kerberos in a TCSAAL challenge on Wednesday, December 6. The Kerberos come into the challenge with a record of 2-1.
Next up, the Mustangs confront the Galena Park Yellowjackets (Galena Park, TX) in a 5A Region III District 19 challenge, on Friday, December 8. Austin will attempt to improve on its 3-5 season record. The Yellowjackets come into the challenge with a 2-9 record after their 58-43 non-league win over Chavez (Houston, TX).
