December 5, 2023: Dodd City, TX 75438 The Dodd City Hornets (Dodd City, TX) basketball crushed the visiting Avery Bulldogs (Avery, TX), 61-38 in Tuesday's non-league test.
The Hornets (5-4) will now prepare for their test against Commerce (Commerce, TX). The Tigers go into the non-league test with a 5-3 record. In their last test, Commerce walloped Community (Nevada, TX), 60-34, in a non-league test.
The Bulldogs now own a 5-7 record. They play next when they travel to Waskom for a non-league test on Thursday, December 7. Avery will encounter a Wildcats squad coming off a 94-18 non-league loss to Beckville (Beckville, TX). The Wildcats record now stands at 4-4.
