December 5, 2023: Rio Grande City, TX 78582 The Rio Grande City Rattlers basketball team scored 49 points and restricted the visiting Donna Redskins to 29 in the Rattlers non-league victory on Tuesday.
The Rattlers now sport a 7-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Sinton for a non-league contest on Thursday, December 7. Rio Grande City will battle a Pirates team coming off a 73-60 non-league loss to Gregory-Portland (Portland, TX). The Pirates record now stands at 1-5.
The Redskins (5-8) will now prepare for their contest against Valley View (Pharr, TX). The Tigers come into the non-league contest with a 3-7 record. In their last contest, Valley View dropped by Hidalgo (Hidalgo, TX), 49-46, in a non-league contest.
