December 5, 2023: Florence, MS 39073 Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Florence Eagles (Florence, MS) and the visiting Port Gibson Blue Waves (Port Gibson, MS), saw Florence's basketball squad hold off Port Gibson by a count of 66-60.
With the victory, Florence upgrades its record to 7-3 on the campaign. The Eagles host Pearl (Pearl, MS) to play the Pirates in a non-league challenge on Thursday, December 7. The Pirates come into the challenge with a record of 7-3. Pearl lost 66-63 in their recent non-league challenge against Brookhaven (Brookhaven, MS)
Next up, the Blue Waves play the South Delta Bulldogs (Rolling Fork, MS) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, December 8. Port Gibson will attempt to upgrade on its 4-7 season record.
