Iowa High School Basketball - Prairie City-Monroe tops West Marshall
December 5, 2023: Monroe, IA 50170 Prairie City-Monroe Mustangs (Monroe, IA) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting West Marshall Trojans (State Center, IA), 50-39 in a league bout.
With the victory, Prairie City-Monroe upgrades its record to 2-3 on the campaign. The Mustangs travel to North Mahaska (New Sharon, IA) to play the Warhawks in a non-league bout on Monday, December 11. The Warhawks come into the bout with a record of 3-1.
Next up, the Trojans play the Nevada Cubs (Nevada, IA) in a Heart of Iowa - Large bout, on Friday, December 8. West Marshall will attempt to upgrade on its 1-3 season record. The Cubs come into the bout with a 4-0 record after their 66-39 league win over Saydel (Des Moines, IA).
