December 5, 2023: Winona, MS 38967 The Winona Tigers basketball team scored 45 points and held the visiting Water Valley Blue Devils to 36 in the Tigers non-league triumph on Tuesday.
The Tigers now sport a 2-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to West Lowndes for a non-league contest on Friday, December 8. Winona will meet a Panthers team coming off a 64-59 non-league loss to Caledonia (Caledonia, MS). The Panthers record now stands at 6-3.
The Blue Devils (2-5) will now prepare for their contest against Charleston (Charleston, MS). The Tigers enter the non-league contest with a 2-4 record. In their last contest, Charleston ran past Leland (Leland, MS), 49-47, in a non-league contest.
