Alabama High School Basketball - Sardis holds off Alexandria
December 5, 2023: Alexandria, AL 36250 Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Sardis Lions (Boaz, AL) and the host Alexandria Valley Cubs (Alexandria, AL), saw Sardis's basketball squad hold off Alexandria by a tally of 45-42.
With the victory, Sardis improves its record to 9-1 on the campaign. The Lions travel to Boaz (Boaz, AL) to confront the Pirates in a 5A Area 13 challenge on Friday, December 8. The Pirates come into the challenge with a record of 5-3. Boaz lost 43-31 in their recent non-league challenge against Arab (Arab, AL)
Next up, the Valley Cubs confront the White Plains Wildcats (Anniston, AL) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, December 7. Alexandria will attempt to improve on its 2-1 season record. The Wildcats come into the challenge with a 8-2 record after their 55-50 non-league win over Saks (Anniston, AL).
