Alabama High School Basketball - West Morgan nips Athens
December 5, 2023: Trinity, AL 35673 West Morgan Rebels (Trinity, AL) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Athens Golden Eagles (Athens, AL), 31-29 in a non-league bout.
With the win, West Morgan upgrades its record to 4-2 on the season. The Rebels travel to Priceville (Priceville, AL) to play the Bulldogs in a 4A Area 13 bout on Friday, December 8. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a record of 5-3. Priceville won 62-37 in their recent league bout against East Lawrence (Trinity, AL)
Next up, the Golden Eagles play the East Limestone Indians (Athens, AL) in a non-league bout, on Friday, December 8. Athens will attempt to upgrade on its 1-5 season record. The Indians go into the bout with a 6-0 record after their 51-30 non-league win over Columbia (Huntsville, AL).
