December 5, 2023: Detroit Lakes, MN 56501 The Detroit Lakes Lakers basketball team scored 58 points and held the visiting Dilworth-Glyndon-Felton Rebels to 54 in the Lakers non-league triumph on Tuesday.
The Lakers now sport a 2-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host Alexandria for a AAA Section 8 contest on Thursday, December 7. Detroit Lakes will meet a Cardinals team coming off a 88-37 non-league win over Sauk Rapids-Rice (Sauk Rapids, MN). The Cardinals record now stands at 3-1.
The Rebels (0-2) will now prepare for their contest against Pelican Rapids (Pelican Rapids, MN). The Vikings enter the AA Section 8 contest with a 2-0 record. In their last contest, Pelican Rapids nudged Hawley (Hawley, MN), 58-39, in a league contest.
